A former top photographic model and Broadway Actress, Dorothy Rice revisits old haunts and embraces the heart of new York in her watercolors that pay loving tribute to everything from the windswept waterfront of South Street Seaport, to the cool architecture of Battery Park City, to Chinatown, Midtown and the upper reaches of the city, including Lincoln Center, Museum Mile, Yorkville and HarlemChinatown

Dorothy Rice also depicts the depths and pleasures of Manhattan's lifestyles; the excitement of walking through Central Park, bursting with Fall colors, dancing and dining in the city that never sleeps; browsing the posh stores on Fifth Avenue; going to a Broadway Show; shopping in ethnic markets and walking just about everywhere. Dorothy Rice loves people, and in every scene depicted, she distills the essence of living in New York.
